  One of the main themes of this website is to try and move people far and wide away from the extreme reliance we seem to have on overly-processed foods. These raw energy bars are just one answer of many. Take a typical energy bar, even a raw one. This is an organic date-orange bar I found on my lunch break at the local organic store. Look at all those ingredients. These recipes are generally flexible, so use the best ingredients (the ones with status effects, for example) to get the most out of your meal. The entrees recipes are sorted by their main ingredient.

You can also add one to your child’s lunchbox for a sweet, nutritious treat. 1 cup raw almonds or walnuts 1 cup medjool dates, pitted ¼ cup raisins ¼ teaspoon cinnamon ¼. For variety, instead of avocado, try another raw plant fat, such as raw nuts (especially almonds) or raw seeds — flax, pumpkin, sesame or hulled sunflower. Soak the nuts or seeds OR grind them (dry) in a coffee-grinder, and add to your Energy Soup. Don't soak longer than 3 to 4 hours because their minerals leach out in the soak water.
